Made from healthy goat blood as the raw material, it is aseptically collected, separated, and filtered through microporous membranes. It is a clear liquid with low endotoxin levels and is free of bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma, and other contaminants. It is suitable for blocking nonspecific binding sites in immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence experiments. Using goat serum to block protein adsorption sites on pre-saturated tissue sections significantly reduces nonspecific binding of detection antibodies to tissues.

Blocking reagent. Dilute as needed with PBS or other buffer. Typical working concentrations are 0.1-5% serum in buffer.
